Verification

What WarPulse asks for to verify your organization, and what changes once it does.

Every app works without verification. Verification is how WarPulse tells people that a real company is behind the app, and it unlocks refresh tokens for your web apps.

What changes

Unverified and verified organizations
TopicUnverifiedVerified
Consent screenNames your organization, says that WarPulse has not verified the app, and shows your homepage address.Shows your legal name, and says Verified by WarPulse with your country.
Scopesopenid profile emailopenid profile email, and offline_access for web apps
Refresh tokensNoneWeb apps only. A public app never gets one.

What you send

An owner or admin of the organization sends the request from the Verification page of the organization. It holds:

  • your legal name and your country,
  • your registration number, or a reason you have none (see below),
  • up to 5 documents, as PDF, PNG or JPEG files of up to 4 MB each,
  • an optional note for the reviewer.

The country decides which checklist applies. You can send up to 3 requests a day, and only one is open at a time.

The checklists

Number and documents, by region
RegionNumber to giveDocuments we accept
United StatesEIN, or state entity numberIRS EIN letter (CP 575 or 147C), or a state certificate of formation or good standing
United KingdomCompanies House numberCertificate of incorporation, or a recent Companies House filing
EU and EEAVAT number, or national register numberVAT registration confirmation, or a register extract (Handelsregister, KBO, KvK, INPI and the like)
ElsewhereNational register numberA government-issued registration document

EU and EEA means the 27 EU members plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The United Kingdom is the country code GB. Every other country is Elsewhere.

If you have no registration number

A sole trader or a small business may have no number. Choose the option for no number instead of giving one, and write a reason of at least 10 characters.

What staff check

  1. A WarPulse reviewer opens your request, and its state becomes in review.
  2. The reviewer reads the details and each document. A document opens through a one-time link that works for 60 seconds. There is no stable address for it.
  3. The reviewer decides. They can verify the organization, reject the request, or ask for more information. A rejection and a request for more information come with a message, which you see on the Verification page.

After a request for more information, edit the request and send it again, and it returns to the reviewer. After a rejection you can apply again 7 days later.

When you are verified

Your legal name and country are copied to the organization, your consent screen shows Verified by WarPulse, and your web apps can get refresh tokens. Allow up to a minute for the change to reach your apps.

Your documents

Documents are stored encrypted. They are deleted 90 days after a decision, whether it was a verification or a rejection, and at once if the organization is deleted.
